Na adrese www.bible-online.cz byl spuštěn nový biblický studijní nástroj, který poskytuje přes dvacet různých překladů Bible, pokročilé vyhledávání, komentáře, slovníky a další funkce. Důraz je kladen na jednoduchost a intuitivní ovládání. To vše zdarma a bez nutnosti cokoliv instalovat.

Bible Online Goes Live in Czech Republic

Wednesday 11.10.2010 is a big day for Bible Online in Czech Republic. A three months testing period is over. Testing proved that stability is perfect so far.
There will be a migration to a new and more powerful server rack in few weeks to further strengthen hardware base.
Going live does not mean that everything is finished. We will continue to listen to you users and add new features as required.

Improved support for old versions of internet explorer

Bible Online got better support of IE 6. User interface is not collapsed any more. As it seems that all major issues have been solved the Chrome Frame will not pop up any more.
This changes will be deployed by end of this week.

Use other browsers than Internet Explorer. They provide better support for WWW standards, better experience for you as a user and last but not least it provides stronger security. My recommendation is to use Firefox or Chrome.

Strong Dictionary

There is a beta support of Strong numbers and Strong lexicons. There are just few Bible versions having Strong numbers but it is worth checking it out! Both Hebrew and Greek lexicons are present.

New hosting

I have finally found a new hosting for Bible Online. Unfortunately it will suck €12 each month from my pocket. Maybe I have to consider some kind of voluntary donation to the project.
The bright side of the new hosting is 100Mbps NIX connectivity, 4GB RAM and shared 8 core CPU. ;-)
Fingers crossed there will be no more outages. I had to wait until somebody somewhere fixes a issue in the past. It took four hours in one case.
I'll keep my current server as a backup so I can switch back if need be.

Bible Online Goes Mobile!

For a long time I was missing a lean web providing biblical texts readable on mobile phones. Well at least something I can use on my Android phone. It made me accelerate to do mobile version of Bible Online.
You can check it at http://m.bible-online.cz
It is still a preview only but it is lightning fast. There is no mobile client detection so you really need to use the URL above. There is also an issue with special characters - just transliterate your query to normal characters.

There is one input box only but you can do both query or Search.

Hello all! It is a while I have not been here while I was working on new design and new functionality.
It is time to load our favorite Bible versions into bible-online.cz. I was working last month to get approvals for using some of available Czech versions with partial success.
